Guarantee That Your Article Gets Published

There are thousands of content directories on the internet today. Just submitting your article to article directory websites doesn’t guarantee that it is going to be accepted. Many article sites have publishing axioms that are reasonably non-specific in nature. Almost all of the seasoned, more well-liked sites, are harsh about what gets published and what gets rejected.

If you would like to make sure that more of your articles are accepted by online article directories you have to make sure your article meets the publisher’s requirements. As an owner and publisher of article sites for years, I’m dazzled at how many authors don’t bother to read thru submission guidelines. Most article directories will accept any article submitted, particularly if it’s a newer article index, as a way to build up their content database. Nonetheless sites that are more established with higher Alexa and Google rankings, have a tendency to be more picky in what’s posted in their article directory.

The biggest mistakes writers make in posting their article include:

1. Affiliate links and advertisements. Many article websites don’t accept content with affiliate links in them. This is routinely permitted in the wrioters resource box but many writers insist on adding their affiliate links in the article or the body sounds more like a sales pitch. This kind of article is usually rejected. Be sure to make your content educational to the reader.

2. E-mail links in articles or resource boxes. Though many editors aren’t involved with e-mails in articles or in a resource box, writers must be aware of the issues that may arise from utilizing them. Article directory websites are constantly being scanned by not only search websites but by mail link harvester and automated robots also. Listing your e-mail in any online webpage opens the writer up to receive an huge amount of spam and is usually not a smart idea. Emails also change every now and then, leaving you with doubtless hundreds of articles on the web with an e-mail address that no longer works.

3. Word count is low. Not all directories put word count limitations on articles. Personally, any article that’s less than four-hundred words is just drafted in order to get a link back to the author’s site. Articles that range between 600 to 800 words are considered as better written and basically contain some benefit for the reader. Make sure your article meets the word count guidelines to help increase acceptance rates. Each article index has different rules for article submissions.

If your aim is to increase the exposure you receive from your article content, make sure you are familiar with the requirements for each article site that you send articles to. By following these writer laws, you not only increase your chances of having your article published, you also set yourself up as a convincing author and increase your site traffic as well.
